Grove Park Nature Reserve is supported by a Friends Group and the Grove Park Community Group
The Nature Reserve is an important wildlife site and makes up part of South East London Green Chain Walk and the regional Capital Ring. The reserve is 6 acres, which is approximately the size of 5 football pitches. There are 4 main wildlife habitats: a pond, woodland, meadow grassland, and an orchard of fruit trees.
Notable animal species that live here include the green and great spotted woodpecker, the colourful day flying Burnet moth and protected species such as, stag beetle, slow worms and lizards.
